Busy Memorial Weekend Coming Up!

This coming Memorial weekend is going to be a busy one for us with races at both SunRay Park and Ruidoso Downs.

* The Ruidoso Downs race meet starts up this Friday, May 28th with the trials for the Ruidoso Futurity that day. We have 12 horses entered in the 19 trials.

* The trials for the Ruidoso Derby will be held on Saturday, May 29th at Ruidoso Downs. In those trials we have Jess So Sixy and Cmonbabylitemyfire.

* Also on Saturday, May 29th, Jess Eye will be running in the Animas Stakes at SunRay Park.

* The finals for the New Mexico Breeder's Futurity will be held on Sunday, May 30th at SunRay Park. Qualified for the finals we have WR Dash, WR Aces Fame and RGR Lyon A Tac.

* The finals for the New Mexico Breeder's Juvenille will also be held on Sunday, May 30th at SunRay Park. Qualified for the Juvenille we have High Five Lane.

* The finals for the Pfizer SunRay Starter Allowance Challenge will be held on Monday, May 31st at SunRay Park. Qualified for the finals we have Smashing Bedarina and Classy Runaway Form.

Pfizer SunRay Starter Allowance Challenge Trials

On Friday, May 14th, the trials for the Pfizer SunRay Starter Allowance Challenge were held at SunRay Park in Farmington, New Mexico. Another good day for us, qualifying 2 out of the 3 we had entered for the finals.

Smashing Bedarina, owned by Rogers Farms, ran 3rd in her trial in a time of 17.441 qualifying her 4th fastest for the finals. And Classy Runaway Form, also owned by Rogers Farms, ran 2nd in his trial in a time of 17.453 qualifying him 5th fastest for the finals.

Congratulations to all the connections of the qualifiers! The finals for the Pfizer SunRay Starter Allowance Challenge will be held on Monday, May 31st. Good luck in the finals!

New Mexico Breeders' Futurity Trials

On Thursday, May 13th, the trials for the New Mexico Breeders' Futurity were held at SunRay Park in Farmington, New Mexico. We had a good day qualifying 3 out of the 5 we had entered for the finals and 1 for the Juvenille.

WR Dash, owned by Rose Webb, ran a close 2nd in her trial in a time of 17.660 qualifying her 2nd fastest for the finals. WR Aces Fame, also owned by Rose Webb, ran a nice race winning her trial in a time of 17.681 qualifying her 3rd fastest for the finals. RGR Lyon A Tac, owned by David and Ross Hinkins, ran a good race running 3rd in his trial in a time of 17.795 qualifying him 7th fastest for the finals. And High Five Lane, owned by Kip Watterson, ran 4th in his trial in a time of 17.914 qualifying him for the Juvenille.

Racing Begins at Sunray Park

Jill has moved into Sunray Park in Farmington, New Mexico. The meet started up on April 22nd and we are off to a very GOOD start. Currently we are 5 for 8. YEAH! Mountaindewcando, owned by Double Jj Ranch won a Maiden on April 23rd. Bulleton, owned by Ezra Lee won a Maiden on April 29th. Jess Eye, owned by MJ Farms won an Allowance on April 30th. Reasbrookstone, owned by Dennis Jensen won a Maiden on May 1st. And Go Southern Special, owned by Melvin & Mary Neugebauer won an Allowance on May 2nd.

Congratulations to those winning owners! We are really excited that the horses are running so well and hope to continue to have a successful meet.
