New Mexico State Fair QH Breeders' Derby Trials

On Saturday, September 11th, the trials for the New Mexico State Fair QH Breeders' Derby going 400 yards were held at The Downs at Albuquerque. We had 2 horses entered in the trials and were again fortunate to qualify both of them for the finals.

Bridger Bourdeaux, owned by MJ Farms, was in the 1st of 3 trials and got into some trouble stumbling at the start and then getting bumped in the race. He ran 5th in a time of 19.895 still qualifying 10th fastest for the finals.

Champagne Fame, also owned by MJ Farms, was in the 2nd trial. She ran 4th in her trial in a time of 19.686 qualifying 6th fastest for the finals.

The finals for the New Mexico State Fair QH Breeders' Derby will be held on Sunday, September 26th.

Congratulations to MJ Farms for qualifying both Bridger Bourdeaux and Champagne Fame and Good Luck in the finals!
