On Saturday, June 19, 2010, the finals for the Four Corners Futurity was held at SunRay Park. WR Carver, owned by Rose Webb, ran an outstanding race winning the futurity by a neck breaking his maiden in a time of 17.359 giving him a 94 speed index at the 350 yard distance. Fishin Partner, owned by Jill Giles & John McIntyre also ran a nice race running 5th. Reasbrookstone, owned by Dennis Jensen, ran 9th. Dang the bad luck, it just wasn't her day.
In the Four Corners Allowance, also held on June 19th, I Can't Refuse, owned by Jill Giles & Johnny Lee, ran great running 3rd and getting beat only by a 3/4 of length by the winner. And Fishermans Wharf, owned by Randy Young, had a great start but ended up running 7th.
Congratulations to Rose Webb on a another big Futurity win! And congratulations to the connections of all the qualifiers, that is an accomplishment in itself.
